Our team have extensive experience working on education and community projects in many different settings. We actively seek funding and partners for projects that enable us to work with people in the community, particularly people facing barriers to participation.

Medway Culture Club Children's Sewing Workshop
Saturday 2nd July 2022
We collaborated with The Medway Culture Club Charity to offer a youth sewing workshop in the lead up to their annual carnival. The youth came together to sew an applique banner to display at the carnival which celebrates the diversity within Medway in a fun and engaging fashion!

Sew 4 Charity Day
The Hygiene Bank Medway
Sunday 26th March 2023
We organised a Sew 4 Charity day where we invited the local community to donate their time and skills to create 47 handmade Tote bags for The Hygiene Bank Medway. THB Medway are a local charity who distribute donated hygiene essentials to those in poverty or in need of support across the Medway towns.
The tote bags provide a practical solution to hold the products and helps convey the additional message that someone cares.


Sew 4 Charity: Macmillan Coffee Morning
Saturday 30th September 2023
We held our very first Coffee Morning with a twist at the local Rochester Healthy Living Centre where we brought along our sewing machines to create 25 adjustable drain bags for Cancer patients at The Kent Oncology Centre. A whopping £229.41 was raised from our cakes and bakes and were donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sew 4 Charity: Children in Need - Pudsey Bears
November 2023
Throughout the month of November our young stitchers across all our childrens sewing groups including our primary schoool sewing clubs all engaged in sewing their own Pudsey inspire teddy bears t raise money for BBC's Children in Need. Through this initiative we raised a spotacular £50 towards the Children in Need Charity!
BBC Children in Need fund thousands of charities and projects that support children and young people to feel and be safer, have improved mental health and wellbeing, form better, more positive relationships and be given more equal opportunities to flourish.

Join us for our social sewing and crafting workshops, where we gather to make a difference in our community. We come together to sew for social causes and to celebrate the positive impact that sewing, connection and creativity have on our mental health and wellbeing.
All skill levels are welcome — from seasoned stitchers to those just beginning their sewing journey. Together, we create items such as clothing for those in need, comforting quilts for shelters and other meaningful makes that support local organisations. Every stitch plays a part.
