Sewing is fun, creative, practical and empowering! Whether you have a budding fashion designer in your family or a creative child who's looking for a new artistic medium-- this class is a perfect way to start!
In this 3 hour workshop your child will:
Learn all aspects of a domestic sewing machine and its functionality.
Learn how to set up and thread the machine.
Learn basic stitches - sewing straight lines, curves & pivoting.
Make use of the decorative stitches
Create a basic sewing project
Gain A Sewing Machine License
Our Children's Sewing Machine 101 is on a 'drop and go' basis, however we politely request children are collected promptly at the end of class.
Bring your machine or use one of ours. If you're bringing yours please be sure it's in working order and bring the foot pedal, power cord, needle, empty bobbin and manual. Ask us if you have any questions!
Suitable for children age 8-16

**Please note: Children's Sewing Machine 101, or similar experience, is required for registration in any of our after school or home ed sewing classes and project workshops!**
