Looking for a fun and rewarding summer activity that teaches a skill for life?
Our Fast Track to Sewing workshop is the perfect introduction for children and teens who have always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine.
Over three creative mornings, participants will build their confidence step by step, learning essential sewing techniques while making three exciting projects to take home. With small group sizes and plenty of individual support, children will quickly progress from complete beginners to confident young makers.
Day 1 β Sewing Machine 101 & Patchwork Pillow
The perfect introduction to machine sewing. Children will learn how to safely use a sewing machine, thread it correctly, sew straight and curved seams, and create their very own colourful patchwork cushion.
Day 2 β Sew a Tote Bag
Building on the skills learned on Day 1, participants will make a stylish and practical tote bag while developing their confidence with measuring, cutting, pressing and assembling fabric.
Day 3 β Create a Plushie (Optional)
It's time to get creative! Children will design and sew their own soft plushie, learning how to sew curves, stuff and finish a handmade toy to treasure.

By the end of the workshop, your child will have developed the confidence to use a sewing machine independently and leave with three handmade projects they'll be proud of.
Our Children's Workshops are on a 'drop and go' basis, however we politely request children are collected promptly at the end of class.
After completing this workshop, children will have the confidence to join our regular sewing programmes, including our weekly After School Sewing Clubs, Saturday Sewcials, and holiday workshops, where they'll continue developing their skills through fun and inspiring projects.
Fast Track to Sewing | 3-Day Summer Workshop
Once made, a booking cannot be transferred to an alternative date. If for any reason you are unable to attend please feel free to send a substitute. If you book a workshop for several days duration please make sure you can attend all days. Please check the dates carefully prior to booking.
All workshops/courses must be paid for in full prior to the workshop start date. Payment can be made by PayPal or credit/debit card. By booking online you are acknowledging that you have read and accept the terms and conditions. Once a booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation email and information about any materials or equipment required.Cancellations by you: Refunds will only be given under exceptional circumstances and will be considered on an individual basis.
Cancellations by us: In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop/course you will be given at least 24 hours notice and offered a transfer to another date or receive a full refund. We will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur in the event of cancellation by us
