During the day you will be constructing an 18 inch piped, square cushion to take home. Our expert upholstery tutor will guide you through the process of cushion making to ensure a crisp fitted result. Master the techniques of measuring, marking and cutting accurately to maximise fabric use and how to pattern match.
 
You will also learn how to make piping using bias cut strips and piping cord as well as learn how to fit a zip along one side so you can take your cover off for washing.
 
What do I need to bring?
 
1m  (115cm or 140cm wide) fabric for cushion.
1m  (115cm or 140cm wide) fabric for piping.
2.5m length of 5mm cord.
40cm  Concealed Zipper.

Please make sure to avoid velvets, stretch or satin as these are more suitable to an advanced learner. A linen weight fabric is ideal.

This class is suitable for a confident beginner who has worked with simple patterns at home or  in the studio.
